俳優・生田斗真が 映画初出演にして初主演で映画化される、太宰治の代表作『人間失格』（荒戸源次郎監督）。来年2月からの全国公開に先立ち、生田のビジュアルが角川文庫の すべての太宰作品（全10アイテム）のカバーに登場。15日より書店などにお目見えする。映画の主役が原作者の全作品のカバーを飾ることは、出版界初の画 期的な試みだ。

　すでに10月より原作の『人間失格』のみ生田バージョンが登場しており、現在まで10万部以上のセールスを記録、増刷を重ねている。この人気にあやかって、すべての太宰作品に生田が光を当てる。

　『人間失格』は、学生時代から自殺・心中未遂を繰り返し、最期は愛人と玉川上水への入水で生涯を終えた太宰の実人生が投影されている作品。映画では、幼 少期より自意識にまみれ、世間とうまくなじめない青年・葉蔵（生田）が、不安や迷いを抱えながら、美しい容姿と生来の魅力で、異性のみならず同性すら魅了 しながら生き急ぐ姿を描く。2010年2月20日（土）より全国公開。

From December 15th Ikuta Toma will be in the cover of Dazai Osamu's works. This is a first time that the lead actor for a movie based in one of Dazai's works will appear in all the 10 works of the author.

Since October Ikuta Toma has been in the cover of "Nigen Shikkaku" selling a record of 100,000 copies, and still re-printing.

"Ningen Shikkaku" will be in theaters from Saturday, Februray 20th 2010.
